“Health care is Self-Care.”
Welcome to HEALING TOUCH CHIROPRACTIC’S new patient center!
I understand the various questions that can come with a new chiropractic office experience. Whether you've been to chiropractors before or never been at all, you may wonder if you're in the right place with a person who understands your needs and can help you. I've been there too, as a patient in other offices. So I strive to make your experience educational and comfortable.
In this area of the website you will be able to take care of items necessary for your visit prior to arriving, in the comfort of your own home. And by exploring different areas on my website, I hope you feel as if you know me before you meet me!

MY FIRST VISIT
First Visit: On your first visit you will be asked to complete required forms if not already downloaded from the website. This is very important and necessary information about yourself and your condition.
Dr. Joanie will ask you some specific questions regarding your condition to determine if chiropractic care may be of benefit to you. If we determine that we can help you, we will let you know and offer to answer any questions you may have before the exam. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent and/or explanation of our services.
Examination: It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing for the exam. Occasionally, women may be asked to wear a gown to better evaluate the spine. The examination includes some or all of the following, depending on your condition: reflex/muscle testing; active and passive range of motion (ROM) and analysis of the spine; standard orthopedic, neurologic, postural evaluation, and assessment of vital signs. If necessary, we may recommend further diagnostic tests (X-rays MRI, functional medicine lab work) or refer you for additional testing procedures if your health history and/or exam findings warrant such action.
Report of Findings: Once all the information and examinations have been performed, we will provide you with a "report of findings" usually 1-3 days after your first visit and/or treatment. This information is provided in many learning forms so you fully understand the results and the recommended care based on your health goals.
Treatment: Chiropractic adjustments are designed to be effective in making changes on a neurological, biomechanical and postural level. Often results are experienced within the first 24 hours post treatment.

This is the best and the most cost effective method for you. Many patients can direct their own care by using their Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Benefits Account.
We help you work with your AUTO INSURANCE for treatments related to an auto accident. We provide the necessary billing and reports required for your coverage. Inform us if you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident prior to your appointment.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND you confirm that you carry MEDICAL PAY on your AUTO INSURANCE policy. The State of Colorado allows for the minimum $5,000.00 coverage should you be injured in an auto accident. We advise increasing your Med Pay coverage to the higher amount ($25,000.00) for a small increase in your premium BEFORE YOU HAVE AN ACCIDENT. Please call our office regarding more information on this important insurance matter OR your auto insurance agent.
Our office is considered "Out-Of-Network" for most medical insurance companies. We choose the Out-Of-Network designation for the following benefits to you:
- Freedom to provide you all the care necessary for your condition and not restricted to treating one area.
- Freedom to provide you therapies such as ultrasound, laser, nutritional counseling and therapeutic exercise/rehabilitation sessions that often aren’t covered by insurance.
- Freedom from delays by insurance to approve care when needed the day of your appointment.
- Freedom from submitting paperwork requested by your insurance that delay your care.
- Freedom to you to choose what provider you want to see for results by using your Health Savings Account Plan (HSA), or Flex Savings Plan (FSA).
- Freedom to focus on what you need to “Be Better; Get Better; Stay Better”.
*All charges, fees and product purchases are due at the time of your appointment.
